Quadpack’s Woodacity 100% wooden closure approach continues to draw the attention of brands. Following Habit Rouge Spirit by Guerlain, it now also enhances the glass flacons of the new ADN assortment from Adolfo Domínguez!
To fasten and enhance the spray mechanism of its latest fragrance range, ADN, the Spanish fashion company Adolfo Domínguez has charged Quadpack with the concept and fabrication of a custom closure and mount, entirely fashioned from PEFC-certified maple.
The single-material answer is remarkably original in its composition and implementation. The wooden mount fastens straight onto the bottle, thus securing the sprayer, while the closure snaps onto the mount. The complete assembly functions without adhesive, plastic or other intermediary substances. It is readily taken apart with a mild pull, for simple separation at the packaging’s end of life.
“The Woodacity closure and mount arrangement highlights the heartfelt bond with the shopper. The consumer experience is exceptional, from the warm, sleek touch of the substance, to the distinct, gentle click sound upon closure – a sensory delight unexpected from wood,” stated Quadpack in a press release.

Adolfo Domínguez is an early adopter of timber and Woodacity ingenuity within its packaging, having lately utilized it for the ash closures of its Oriental Collection. For ADN, they opted for certified maple, for its even texture and delicate grain aesthetic, with the brand symbol laser etched around the mount.
The Woodacity parts are created and adorned at the Quadpack Wood factory located in Spain. A local biomass installation utilizes timber waste to produce fuel to operate the wood seasoning ovens and temperature management setups – internal procedures that negate conveyance for external processing.
