At long last, The Bachelorette has declared its main figure for season 22: Taylor Frankie Paul from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Hulu has previously revealed that season 3 of Mormon Wives will debut on November 13, 2025, but Disney has shifted the new season of The Bachelorette to a later launch date. Taylor, aged 31, engaged with Us Weekly concerning her fresh unscripted television venture, confessing that she is venturing outside of her “comfort zone” by becoming a part of Bachelor Nation.
“What I am anticipating the most is encountering a number of individuals who are beyond my normal range — and even if there are a couple in that mix, that’s acceptable — but I’m simply thrilled to learn about varied outlooks and novel facets of myself as well,” the Hulu personality articulated, further commenting, “[However] it’s outside my comfort zone, thus, undoubtedly, it’s frightening.”
Briefly referencing her prior controversies — ranging from her and former spouse Tate Paul‘s “soft swinging” situation to her apprehension in 2023 — Taylor clarified that she’s experienced “many educational moments, for good or bad.”

In 2023, Taylor was taken into custody and formally charged with serious assault, two counts of domestic violence while in the presence of a minor, child endangerment resulting in harm, and criminal damage in the aftermath of an incident involving former beau Dakota Mortensen. That August, she admitted guilt to serious assault, and the remaining accusations were dropped completely. Subsequently, she arrived at a plea agreement.
“And I think [that makes you] more discerning and mindful — or at the very least self-aware,” the incoming Bachelorette stated to the publication. “I cannot guarantee that I will never commit errors in the future. We’re all prone to it. We inevitably will. However, it involves learning, maturing, and then acquiring the capabilities to manage the subsequent obstacle.”
