Charles III’s mother passed away in 2022 at the age of 96.

Prince William couldn’t suppress his feelings as he remembered the passing of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode of “The Reluctant Traveler,” the Prince of Wales gave an interview to presenter Eugene Levy and explained how his abode in Windsor brings his thoughts to the departed sovereign.

“Do you feel the absence of your grandma?” Levi inquired of William.

“In truth, yes. I genuinely miss my grandparents,” William responded.

Elizabeth II’s spouse, Prince Philip, departed in April 2021.

“There have been numerous alterations, hence I’m contemplating the reality that they’re no longer present, especially at Windsor, and to me, Windsor is her,” continued the 43-year-old Prince William. “She adored it here; she dedicated the majority of her time here. Nowadays, I attempt to do everything precisely as she would have preferred. She also kept horses here, and as you might anticipate, that held immense importance for her, thus she cherished it here,” added the Prince of Wales in the episode entitled “Royal Life in Britain.”

Before her passing, the Queen held Windsor Castle in particularly high regard, spending a large portion of her concluding years there. She is interred in St. George’s Chapel, situated on the castle grounds. In 2022, William, his wife Kate Middleton, and their three offspring—12-year-old George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 7-year-old Prince Louis—relocated from London to Adelaide Cottage near Windsor.
