The songstress unveiled the delightful tidbit while she was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Taylor Swift’s smile was non-stop during her time on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as she reminisced about the instant her sweetheart, Travis Kelce, knelt to pop the question.
As the conversation got underway—as part of the press tour for her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl—Fallon inquired if Kelce actually proposed right after they taped the highly anticipated joint installment of his New Heights podcast.
Swift verified that this was indeed the case, and confessed that she should have realized something was unusual, because the football star was acting quite oddly as they prepared to record the podcast discussion.
She recounted how Kelce started wandering around the house, mentioning that his heart was pounding and that he felt very anxious. Additionally, he installed blackout curtains on each and every window throughout the entire house. “I’d never witnessed this man anxious,” Swift remarked. “He’s a professional at not being nervous.”

Naturally, looking back, it’s obvious that Kelce darkened the windows to prevent Swift from knowing what was unfolding outside: His complete backyard was being changed into an enchanting fairy garden (with the vocalist’s tour photographer concealed in the shrubbery) all set for him to propose.
“I think, for Travis, the podcast just functioned as a distraction, a sort of deception, so that I wouldn’t be looking out the windows of the house,” Swift informed Fallon, displaying her radiant diamond engagement ring.
The pair shared news of their engagement a few days later through a collaborative Instagram update. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” is what they posted along with snapshots of the important moment.
During her interviews over the last four days, Swift has made it known that she and Kelce are not decided on their wedding specifics as of yet, since they are still quite busy with their own individual ventures and they only recently became engaged. But we’ll find out when the time is right.
