The royal funeral for Catherine, the Duchess of Kent, was led by King Charles III. The solemn ceremony occurred at Westminster Cathedral. Family members of the monarchy, including Charles III, Kate Middleton, and Prince William, came together to pay their respects to the spouse of Queen Elizabeth II's cousin.

However, Queen Camilla was compelled to be absent from the ceremony, an announcement made at the last moment by a representative from Buckingham Palace. The spokesperson conveyed his sympathies to the Duke of Kent and his relatives, clarifying that the Queen had taken ill.

Also in attendance at the funeral were Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Lawrence, Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, the Prince and Princess of Kent, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. This observance was the first royal funeral at Westminster Cathedral since its completion in 1903.
