All About Mariah Carey’s Sixteenth Album, ‘Here For It All’

MC16 is on the horizon

It seems like this fall will be all about Mariah Carey.

The icon revealed that her sixteenth studio album, Here For It All, is set to be released in September. She initially hinted at the announcement on July 20 by posting a video on social media showcasing her album covers accompanied by a medley of her biggest hits. “#MC16 🦋,” the caption stated. On the morning of July 21, she confirmed the announcement with another video, featuring her walking in front of an enlarged image of her new album cover. The clip also included a preview of Carey performing the title track.

The album is set to release this fall.

Here For It All will officially launch on September 26. The album is presently available for pre-order.

The lead single is already released.

Carey released the first single from Here For It All along with its music video in June. “Type Dangerous,” a captivating dance track, was co-written and co-produced with Anderson .Paak. Additionally, Carey has since unveiled several remixes of “Type Dangerous” featuring Big Sean, Busta Rhymes, DJ Snake, and Luísa Sonza.

Mariah has dedicated years to this album.

Carey previously indicated that new music was forthcoming during a November 2023 appearance on Good Morning America. “I’ve been focused … on just composing new songs,” she mentioned at that time. “Yesterday we were in the studio working on something with a choir, creating a new song. So it’s thrilling.”

She continued to hint at the project in a May 2024 interview with Variety. “I’ve penned some new tracks,” she shared with the publication. “You know, I’m enthusiastic about it. I need to decide which songs I will include and which ones I won’t. But I think I’m quite thrilled about it.”
