We’re in disarray after watching the gripping new trailer for Wednesday season 2. The teaser reveals that season 2 is centered on the apparent and inevitable death of one character: Enid Sinclair. Meanwhile, Wednesday Addams ( Jenna Ortega ) must race against time to save her best friend and roommate, “or die trying.” But is Enid really the one dying on the show?

When will Season 2 of Wednesday be released?
Wednesday Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in two parts. The first four episodes (Part 1) will premiere on August 6, 2025, and the remaining four episodes (Part 2) will premiere on September 3, 2025. The eight-episode season continues the show’s signature playful tone, beginning with “Here We Woe Again” and ending with “The Devil You Woe,” “Call of the Woe,” and “If These Woes Could Talk.”
Will Enid Sinclair Die in Wednesday Season 2?
Enid may face death in Wednesday’s second season, according to a psychic vision. In the trailer, Wednesday sees Enid’s grave with the inscription “In Memory of Enid Sinclair,” after which Enid’s ghost appears, grabs Wednesday by the throat, and exclaims, “I died because of you!”
“Enid is dying, and it’s all my fault,” Wednesday says in a scene in the trailer, before her voiceover says, “Secrets are the foundation of the Addams Family. The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid — or die trying.”
Which actress plays Enid Sinclair in the movie Wednesday?
Actress Emma Myers plays Enid on Wednesday, and the Netflix series quickly made her a household name for her portrayal of the bright, bubbly, and sensitive teenage werewolf.
Will Enid leave Wednesday after season 2?
It is currently unclear whether actress Emma will be leaving Wednesday after season 2. Since season 2 has not started yet, fans will have to wait and see what happens to her character.
However, fans have no reason to believe that Emma wants to leave the project. The team behind Wednesday, including director and producer Tim Burton , spoke highly of Emma in an interview with Variety in April 2025. In general, they noted that Emma is open to experimentation on set and easy to get along with.
“She constantly surprises me,” Tim told the publication of Emma. “I had no idea she was such a great dancer until this season. She’s not too outrageous, so she constantly amazes me with her sense of humor and her ability to be expressive and funny. I love working with people who can be comical and emotional at the same time — and she has both.”
