The Euphoria actress has recently ended her relationship with Jonathan Davino, her boyfriend of seven years.
Sydney Sweeney might have a new romantic interest.
During the weekend, the Anyone But You star was seen on a trip to a lake in Idaho, where she was photographed enjoying a jet ski ride and appearing cheerful while a mysterious gentleman held her waist from behind (you can view the images here). While her companion’s identity remains a mystery, he was definitely not her latest partner: restaurateur Jonathan Davino.
Sweeney was in a relationship with Davino from 2018 until 2025. They initially connected at an Emmys after-party at the Nomad in Los Angeles, and later were seen sharing a kiss while Sweeney filmed the inaugural season of The White Lotus in Hawaii. In 2022, the couple announced their engagement, but their wedding plans faced delays earlier this year, as reported by Us Weekly.
“They were set to tie the knot this spring,” an insider informed the publication in March. “The wedding is off, and they aren’t discussing it any further. Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t cope with the pressure.”
At that time, it was noted that the couple had not completely parted ways: “Sydney and Jonathan have been experiencing significant challenges but are not entirely separated. Things aren’t ideal right now, but they aren’t giving up just yet. They are attempting to work through their issues but have postponed the wedding for the time being.”
Just hours after the announcement, the Euphoria star shared a video on Instagram featuring her swimming in a pool, looking completely unfazed. A few weeks later, she and Davino were spotted on several casual outings walking their dogs.
However, the Laneige ambassador confirmed her single status in June during an interview with The Sunday Times. “I’m discovering a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m enjoying it,” she remarked. Perhaps she is also spending time with a new romantic interest now.
