Celebrities are known to constantly reinvent themselves, especially when it comes to style. And in recent years, we’ve seen some dramatic makeovers: from Zendaya and Rihanna to Kristen Stewart and Kylie Jenner. Some have opted for timeless Hollywood chic over streetwear, while others have swapped haute couture for punky, avant-garde style. We tell and show how the wardrobes of eight popular socialites have changed over the past few years.
Zendaya
Zendaya started her career on the Disney Channel with playful youthful looks. Even for social events and red carpets, the artist wore mostly skinny low-rise jeans and tops with university prints, or very basic things like jumpers, sneakers and down jackets. But as she developed, Zendaya collaborated with stylist Law Roach and subsequently became one of the main trendsetters of today. From sculptural dresses for the Met Gala to non-trivial vintage outfits for movie premieres – now literally all of her outfits invariably attract the attention of the fashion community.

Timothée Chalamet
In his early red carpet looks, Timothée Chalamet favored pieces that could easily be imagined on him in everyday life. The actor liked to appear in public in classic outfits that fit the figure, but were complemented by boyish details, like a colorful tie or a bandana. In recent years, Timothée has expanded his styling range, starting to appear at events in suits of unusual cuts and bold colors.

Rihanna
Rihanna has always been known for her love of bright outfits, but if in the early 2000s her style could be described as glamorous, now the singer’s outfits have gone far beyond any standards. Having founded the Fenty company, the artist has formed a unique, and most importantly recognizable style, in which she masterfully combines seemingly incompatible elements. Now she is considered a style icon, whose appearances are closely followed by all fashionistas of the world.

Miley Cyrus
When Miley was known solely for her role as Hannah Montana from the Disney series, she dressed in much the same way in real life as her on-screen character. Sparkly tops, skinny jeans on the hips, pleated skirts, and studded boots were staples of her wardrobe. After relaunching her solo career in the 2010s, Miley began to look more provocative and sexy. But then came the rock ‘n’ roll era, and the singer swapped feathers and glitter for biker jackets, chains, and leather pants.

Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift’s early style harked back to country aesthetics: glitter, rhinestones, ruffles, floral prints, all paired with cowboy boots and wavy blonde hair. Today, Swift favors more elegant, grown-up, avant-garde looks from designers like Vivienne Westwood, which she puts as much hidden meaning into as her music.

Harry Styles
As a teenager, the former One Direction member wore basics from the band’s heyday, like skinny jeans, tank tops and button-down cardigans, and favored basic colors. Now that he’s embarked on a solo career, the pop star is opting for bold, colorful ensembles that challenge conventional notions of men’s fashion.

Kylie Jenner
Being the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner family, Kylie initially dressed according to her age. However, having founded her own beauty empire, the celebrity began to regularly collaborate with leading fashion houses and choose more sophisticated outfits, gradually winning the title of fashion icon.

Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart has never been afraid to wear Converse on the red carpet, but over time her style has become more thoughtful and complex. The actress has long collaborated with the fashion house Chanel, whose outfits she always wears in her own style, that is, in a punk way.
