Legendary tennis player Venus Williams is widely considered one of the greatest tennis players in history. Despite her outstanding achievements on the court, she prefers to keep her personal life out of the spotlight. Now that she is engaged to Andrea Preti , fans are eager to learn more about their relationship and upcoming wedding.
Venus has never been married and has no children. In an interview with Cosmopolitan in October 2022, the athlete shared that she enjoys her independence and does not succumb to societal pressure to live a stable life.
“I have a lot of friends who don’t believe me when I say I love my life and wouldn’t change it under any circumstances. I don’t feel alone, and they don’t believe me,” she told the publication. “They say things like, ‘You’re going to miss your chance.’ And I say, ‘Please calm down. You may think that, but I don’t. I assure you, it’s not true.’”

Venus began a relationship with millionaire Nicholas Hammond in 2017. Nicholas is 12 years younger than Venus and is the heir to a major communications empire, including magazines such as TV Guide and Seventeen.
During their two-year relationship, the couple didn’t shy away from public events. They attended Venus’s sister Serena’s wedding together and were photographed enjoying a romantic dinner in December 2017. “She’s smitten with him,” a source told The New York Daily News when Nicholas accompanied her to matches at the 2018 Australian Open. Though they weren’t engaged, Nicholas gave Venus a symbolic “friendship ring” as a sign of their commitment to each other.
In 2019, Page Six reported their split, stating that it was due to differences in their desires. According to sources, Venus wanted to get married and start a family, while Nicholas was not ready to take that step.
