The two will star in a new trilogy of romantic films called Happy Hours.
Joey and Pacey, is that you? No, this isn’t a reboot, but rather the filming of a new movie trilogy called Happy Hour, in which former Dawson’s Creek co-stars Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson will play romantic leads.
Just this week, it was announced that Holmes and Jackson will star in a series of films about a couple struggling to maintain a strong relationship while navigating career and family challenges. In addition to starring, Holmes will also write and direct the films. She previously wrote, produced, and directed the feature films Together (2022) and Rare Objects (2023).

This is the actors’ first collaboration since Dawson’s Creek, where they dated for the show’s first two seasons. They have remained on friendly terms since the show’s conclusion in 2003.
